ECO's First Source Initiative - "Count Me In!"
There are many talented people from all walks of life. ECO gives priority to organizations whose participants represent the broader community and whose mission is to improve their participants’ employment opportunities through education, self-development and training programs, giving more people the chance to say, “count me in!”
ECO has developed productive relationships with the following agencies to utilize their job readiness and referral services as a “First Source” for job placements into careers offered by ECO:

ECO also has developed a relationship with Ella Baker Center for Human Rights to promote and facilitate equity access to career opportunities for low-income individuals, the underemployed and people of color. As a result of this relationship, ECO has supported requests for local employment and training grants, climate action legislation and has contributed testimony at the local and state level to support growing a green and equitable economy for all.
Moodie, the founder of ECO, is committed to these partnerships as she believes special attention needs to be paid to deliberant equity access to opportunities in this burgeoning industry.
Quincy Harris, one of ECO's Energy Specialists, talks with representatives from the California Energy Commission about his success as a Richmond Build Green Energy Training Services (GETS) graduate and how it helped him move to a new career in energy management!
